Year 1 -
In Geography, Year 1 had great fun creating a “messy map” of their classroom. Using everyday objects such as blocks, fabric and counters, the children built a colourful, hands-on model to represent the different areas of their learning space. This activity helped them understand maps in a meaningful, practical way while encouraging teamwork and creativity.
Nursery - Road Safety Activities!
Our Nursery children enjoyed joining in with the road safety theme through a variety of creative, play-based activities. They explored toy roads and vehicles, acted out safe crossings with small-world figures, and used paint, collage materials, and chalk to make their own simple road signs. These hands-on experiences helped our youngest learners begin to understand the basics of staying safe near roads while having lots of fun experimenting and creating.
Year 3 - Learning about Stitching in Art!
Year 3 have been developing their sewing skills in Art this week by learning how to create a running stitch. Pupils practiced threading needles, guiding their stitches carefully, and experimenting with simple textile patterns. They showed great patience and focus, and many were proud to see their confidence grow with each stitch.
Year 6 - TFL Workshop!
Year 6 took part in an informative and interactive workshop led by Transport for London. The session helped pupils understand how to travel safely and responsibly on public transport, with practical advice about route planning, behaviour expectations, and staying aware of their surroundings. The workshop provided valuable guidance as the children become more independent travellers.
