Year 3 - Cooking Skills in DT!
Year 3 pupils have been developing their food preparation skills by learning how to peel and cut ingredients safely and effectively in their DT lessons. They practiced using kitchen tools with care while building confidence and independence. The children thoroughly enjoyed this practical learning experience and were proud of the skills they developed.
Year 2 - Recycling!
As part of their learning about recycling and caring for the environment, Year 2 pupils put their creativity to work by transforming recycled kitchen towel tubes into beautiful pencil pots and flower vases. The children enjoyed giving new life to everyday materials while learning about the importance of reducing waste and reusing resources.
Year 4 - Science Experiment
Year 4 pupils investigated how different liquids flow by comparing oil, honey, water, vinegar, washing-up liquid, paint, milk and cream. The children observed and compared the speed at which each liquid moved and discussed the reasons for any differences they noticed. They also considered how factors such as temperature might affect the flow of liquids and explored the idea that warmer liquids may flow more easily than colder ones. This practical investigation encouraged careful observation, scientific discussion and critical thinking.
Swimming Assessment!
Pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 recently took part in their swimming assessments. These sessions provided an opportunity for children to demonstrate their swimming abilities and water safety skills while building confidence in the pool. We were extremely pleased with the effort, determination and positive attitudes shown by all participants. Swimming is an important life skill, and we are proud of the progress our pupils continue to make.
