Year 4 DT – Slingshot Cars!
During their DT lesson, Year 4 designed and built a car chassis using a variety of materials. For their second prototype, they focused on using pegs and rubber bands to create a slingshot-powered car. The children really enjoyed the hands-on challenge and tested their designs by measuring how far their cars travelled, helping them evaluate and improve their creations.
Nursery Nature Walk!
Our Nursery children had a wonderful time on their recent nature walk. As they explored the outdoors, they enjoyed spotting colourful flowers and collecting different leaves to examine. The children were excited to see the trees beginning to bloom, a lovely sign that spring is on its way. The walk encouraged curiosity and helped the children observe the changes taking place in nature all around them.
London Air Ambulance Visit!
Children had an exciting visit from the London Air Ambulance Charity team. They learned about the vital work the air ambulance service does to help people in emergencies across London. The visit gave pupils a fascinating insight into how the team responds quickly to life-threatening situations and how important teamwork and medical skills are in saving lives.
