Year 3 - Making Pigment!

Year 3 had an exciting time this week creating their very own pigments using natural materials such as berries, leaves, and mud. The children experimented with crushing, mixing, and blending these items to see the different colours they could produce, linking their discoveries to how artists in the past made paints before modern supplies existed. Along the way, they developed their creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, while also learning to appreciate the rich resources nature provides.

Reception - Healthy Baking!

This week, Reception had lots of fun exploring healthy baking! The children measured ingredients, mixed, stirred, and carefully followed steps in a recipe — all while learning about making good food choices. Through this activity they developed important skills such as counting, weighing, taking turns, and following instructions, as well as building fine motor strength by kneading and mixing. Most importantly, they worked together, shared ideas, and discovered that baking can be both delicious and nutritious!

Student Council Elections!

This week, our school was full of excitement as students participated in Student Council elections! Candidates worked hard to prepare their speeches and share their ideas for making our school an even better place. We are so proud of all the students who demonstrated leadership, courage, and school spirit throughout the process. Elections gave everyone the chance to practice the importance of voting, using their voices, and supporting their classmates. We can't wait to share who our newly-elected Student Council members are!

Year 6 - Blitz Art!

Our Year 6 students have been diving into history through creativity by making their own Blitz-inspired artwork. Using bold colors, dramatic silhouettes, and striking cityscapes, they recreated scenes from World War II that captured both the power and resilience of the time. The children explored how art can tell a story, express emotions, and bring the past to life. We were so impressed by their thoughtful interpretations and the care they put into every detail—truly a powerful blend of history and imagination!
