Traditional Clothes!
As part of our International Day celebrations, children also came to school dressed in beautiful traditional clothing representing their heritage and cultures from across the globe. The school was filled with vibrant colours and smiling faces as pupils proudly shared the significance of their outfits with their classmates. It was a fantastic way to celebrate diversity, promote understanding and appreciate the many cultures that make our school community so special.
International Day!
This week, our school proudly celebrated International Day, giving children the opportunity to learn about different countries and cultures from around the world. Each class was assigned a country to explore, creating engaging projects, colourful displays and fascinating pieces of work to showcase everything they had discovered. It was wonderful to welcome parents into school to admire the children's hard work and celebrate the rich diversity within our community.
Year 6 - Junior Citizenship Workshop!
Year 6 pupils attended a Junior Citizenship Workshop where they learned a range of important life skills. The workshop covered topics such as fire safety, travelling safely on London transport, and understanding the harmful effects of drug addiction. Pupils also had the opportunity to meet police officers, who shared valuable advice about road safety and staying safe within the community. It was an engaging and informative experience that encouraged pupils to make safe and responsible choices.
Year 4 - Fun Maths Lesson!
Year 4 pupils combined practical learning with mathematics by using straws to construct a variety of quadrilaterals. Once their shapes were complete, they carefully measured and calculated the perimeter of each one. This hands-on activity helped deepen their understanding of shape properties while developing their mathematical reasoning skills.
