Reception Making Spider Webs!
Reception has been exploring the world of spiders by making their own spider webs. Using a variety of materials, the children carefully threaded, looped and connected strands to create their webs, which helped develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness. The activity also encouraged creativity, concentration, and problem-solving, as the children planned and constructed their designs, all while learning fascinating facts about how real spiders build their webs.
Year 4 Goes to Parliament!
Year 4 had an exciting and memorable visit to the Houses of Parliament. The children learned about how laws are made, the role of MPs and the importance of democracy in the UK. They explored the historic building, asked thoughtful questions and represented the school superbly throughout the day. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring their learning to life and inspire their understanding of British values.

Year 4 have launched their new history topic with an exciting holiday project focused on Anglo-Saxon houses and villages. At home, the children created detailed models using a variety of materials, carefully including features such as thatched roofs, wooden frames, and village layouts. This creative task helped them begin to understand what life was like in Anglo-Saxon times.
Taking Flight at Home!
Year 2 has been reaching new heights with their exciting flight topic! Over the holidays, the children designed and built their very own plane models at home with the help of their parents. Using a range of materials. From colourful designs to detailed features, their creativity and enthusiasm have really taken off. It’s been a fantastic hands-on way to explore how planes fly while strengthening learning links between home and school!
