Year 3 - Ancient Egyptian Scrolls
Year 3 have been proudly completing their Ancient Egyptian scrolls this week as part of their history topic. The children showed great creativity and attention to detail as they designed and finished their scrolls inspired by Ancient Egyptian writing and artwork. It has been wonderful to see the pupils applying their historical knowledge so thoughtfully through their creative work.
Year 2 - Planting in the Peace Garden!
Year 2 had a wonderful time planting in the Peace Garden this week. The children worked carefully and enthusiastically as they planted and cared for a variety of flowers and plants. This activity helped the pupils to develop their understanding of nature and responsibility, while also giving them the opportunity to work collaboratively and enjoy learning outdoors.
Year 1 - Exploring in the Peace Garden!
Year 1 have been exploring plants in the Peace Garden as part of their learning this week. The children enjoyed observing different plants closely, discussing their features, and learning about what plants need in order to grow and stay healthy. The outdoor environment provided a fantastic hands-on learning experience and encouraged the children to ask thoughtful questions about the natural world around them.
Reception - A Special Visit from Age UK!
Reception were delighted to welcome visitors from Age UK Barnet this week. The children greatly enjoyed spending time with the visitors, taking part in conversations and fun planting. It was a wonderful opportunity to encourage inter-generational connections, helping the children to develop their communication skills, kindness, and understanding of the wider community.
