New Basketball Nets!
Our students have been making great use of the new basketball nets during P.E. lessons this week! From practicing shooting skills to playing team games, the children have loved the chance to develop their coordination, teamwork, and confidence on the court. It’s been fantastic to see so much energy and enthusiasm as they try something new and active.
Year 3 - Egyptian scrolls!
Year 3 have been diving into Ancient Egyptian history by making their very own scrolls using handmade paper. The children worked carefully to create a textured, aged look to replicate ancient papyrus, and then used their scrolls to record hieroglyphics and facts they’ve learned about Egyptian culture. This hands-on activity brought history to life and showcased the students' artistic talents as well as their growing historical knowledge.
Year 2 and 6 - Mindful Colouring!
As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, Year 2 and Year 6 students explored mindfulness through calming colouring activities. The children chose intricate designs and took time to focus quietly, helping them to relax and reset during the day. It was a lovely opportunity to promote wellbeing, encourage creativity, and give space for peaceful reflection in a busy week of learning.
Reception - All Road Safety Activities + Trip to Station!
This week, our Reception students took part in a fantastic road safety learning experience. The children learned how to cross the road safely, practiced looking both ways, and took part in interactive activities to understand the importance of being aware when near roads. As part of their learning, they even visited the local train station and enjoyed a short journey on a train—an exciting first for many! The trip provided a practical and memorable way to reinforce key safety messages, and the children were wonderfully engaged throughout.
