Nursery - Black History Month / Mansa Musa
As part of Black History Month, our Nursery children learned about Mansa Musa, the great king of Mali known for his kindness and generosity. They enjoyed hearing stories about his golden kingdom, exploring African patterns and colours, and creating their own bright artwork inspired by his incredible journey. It was a wonderful way to introduce them to an important figure from history!
Year 5 - Black History Month / Mary Seacole
As part of Black History Month, Year 5 have been learning about the inspiring life of Mary Seacole. They explored her incredible courage, compassion, and contribution to nursing during the Crimean War, discussing how her legacy continues to influence and inspire people today.
Year 3 - Making Cave Walls!
In art, Year 3 took inspiration from the Stone Age and created their very own “cave walls.” Using textured materials and earthy tones, they explored how early humans told stories through pictures — turning the classroom into a prehistoric art gallery!
Year 3 - Tasty Treats!
Year 3 combined creativity and learning as they made chocolate apples this week! This fun activity supported their English lessons on instructional writing, giving pupils the chance to put their skills into practice — writing clear, step-by-step guides while enjoying a sweet reward for their efforts.
