Year 2 - Life-cycle Project!
Year 2 have been busy bringing science to life with their fantastic lifecycle projects—and we had some brilliant help from parents too! Using a wide range of materials, the children created colourful, creative, and thoughtful displays to show different life cycles. It was wonderful to see so much imagination and teamwork on display. A big thank you to all the families who supported the children with their amazing work at home!
Year 1 - Peace Garden fun
This week, Year 1 took their science lesson outdoors and had a fantastic time in the Peace Garden. After talking through the steps of planting and what plants need to grow, the children got stuck into preparing the soil. They loved exploring lemon balm—many said it smelled like mint, lemon, or even lemonade! Everyone then planted their own spinach and salad seeds. The class is now excited to care for their plants and watch them grow!
Reception - RAF Museum
Reception had an exciting adventure this week with a trip to the RAF Museum! The children were amazed by the incredible planes on display—some were huge, and others had fascinating shapes and colours. They loved exploring the different exhibits and learning about how planes fly. It was a fun-filled day full of curiosity, wonder, and wide-eyed excitement!
Nursery - Walking Bear Activity!
This term, our children have been taking part in the Walking Bear family activity—a fun and meaningful way to learn about road safety and reflect on how we travel to school. Each weekend, a child takes home the Walking Bear family and records their journey in a special journal, either through pictures or writing. Back in class, they proudly share their adventures with their friends, helping everyone think about safe and healthy ways to travel. It's been wonderful to see their creativity and awareness grow with each story shared!
