Year 2 - Making Sandwiches!
This week, our Year 2 children enjoyed a fun and tasty lesson in the classroom as they learned how to make their own sandwiches! The students talked about healthy food choices, planned their fillings, and carefully followed step-by-step instructions to create their delicious masterpieces. They practised important skills like spreading, cutting safely, and working neatly — and of course, the best part was getting to eat their finished sandwiches! It was a wonderful hands-on way to combine learning with life skills.
Year 2 - Creative Collages
In art, Year 2 explored texture and layering by making their own colourful collages. They used a range of papers and materials to create vibrant designs, experimenting with how different textures can transform an artwork. The results were fantastic — full of creativity and personality!
Year 4 - Making Pottery!
This week, our Year 4 students had a fantastic time exploring art inspired by African culture! They rolled up their sleeves to shape their own clay pots, learning how to smooth, pinch, and form their designs with care and creativity. Once their pots were ready, the children decorated them with vibrant African-inspired prints, using bold patterns and bright colors that celebrate the beauty and diversity of traditional African art. The results were stunning and it was a wonderful hands-on way for students to connect creativity with cultural appreciation.
Year 2 - Aspiring Astronauts!
As part of their space topic, Year 2 had a blast designing and making their very own astronauts! Using a mix of creativity and problem-solving, the children thought carefully about what an astronaut needs to survive in space. Their imaginative designs were out of this world!
