Year 2 - Maths Games!

Year 2 had an exciting time in the ICT room this week, using technology to sharpen their maths skills through interactive games and activities. The children explored a range of fun, educational platforms that helped them practice number bonds, addition, subtraction, and problem-solving in an engaging way. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they worked independently and supported one another, all while building confidence in both their maths and computer skills. A great example of learning through play and technology!

Year 3 - Assembly!

Our Year 3 students took to the stage this week with an inspiring performance all about what makes a superhero! Through creative storytelling, lively acting, and plenty of enthusiasm, the children explored the idea that true heroes aren’t just the ones who wear capes — they’re also kind, courageous, and always ready to help others, and the class worked brilliantly as a team to bring their ideas to life. It was a heartwarming and empowering play that reminded us all that there’s a bit of superhero in everyone!

Year 1 - Making Paper Art!

Year 1 had a fantastic time in their art lesson this week, getting hands-on with a fun and creative criss-cross paper weaving activity! Using brightly coloured strips of paper, the children carefully cut and threaded them through slits in their background sheets to create eye-catching woven patterns. This activity not only sparked their artistic flair but also helped develop their fine motor skills and concentration. The classroom was full of excitement and pride as each unique piece of artwork came to life — what a colourful display they’ve made!

Reception - The Gigantic Turnip!

Our Reception students have had a fantastic time diving into the classic tale 'The Gigantic Turnip! While enjoying the story together, the children took part in a range of exciting activities inspired by the book. From retelling the story with plenty of teamwork, to exploring how vegetables grow, their curiosity has truly blossomed. The class even began learning about different types of vegetables, planting seeds, and observing what plants need to thrive. It’s been a wonderful way to connect storytelling with hands-on learning — and who knows, we might just grow our own gigantic turnip one day!
