Year 3 - Making Volcano Cupcakes!
Our Year 3s certainly had an explosive cookery session this week as they made volcano cupcakes, stuffed with an array of goodies at their centre! Our students exercised their culinary skills during this task, as they had the opportunity to handle cooking equipment and follow recipes. We also developed a sense of teamwork and cooperation and the result of our Year 3's time in the kitchen is simply delicious!
Year 4 - Trip to the London Aquarium!
As part of their ongoing investigation into the Blue Abyss, a deep-dive into all things marine-related, our Year 4s took their learning outside of the classroom in a fun and educational trip to the London Aquarium! There they got acquainted with a wide variety of sea creatures, such as jellyfish, starfish and more, in their natural habitats, right up close! We're especially privileged that, in the UK, we have nature's beauty right at our fingertips and we think it's safe to assume that our Year 4 students had a fantastic time with their exploration!
Year 1 - Trip to the RAF Museum!
The RAF museum holds a wealth of historical knowledge, and can be an especially fascinating place for children of any age to visit. It's got a plethora of interactive displays, not to mention models of aircrafts and a fun variety of workshops for students to explore too! Our Year 1 students certainly had a great time exploring the world of aviation through a historic lens this week!
Did you know that the first flight (ever) was conducted by Orville Wright for a total of 12 seconds?
Reception - Trip to the Train Station!
Our EYFS classes have been looking at the importance of road safety this week - from zebra crossings and traffic lights, to learning all about how to cross the road safely, our youngest students have become pioneers of safe travelling this week. In addition to road safety, we've also been inspecting different modes of travel and our Reception class was thrilled to visit a train station this week. We watched trains trundle past, received an in-depth tour by the Station Master and even learned the fascinating process behind printing tickets and tapping Oyster cards.
