Our Library Volunteers!
Some of our Year 4 and 5 students have very eagerly been sorting through and re-arranging our library to ensure that all the books are easily-seen, and are placed in their designated sections. It's great to see our students taking such an interest in their school, as well as the books that they read. Participating in activities like these allows our students to become independent learners, both in and out of the classroom, and we think our eager volunteers have done a fabulous job!
A Dazzling Display!
Inspired by the works of David Hockney and Georgia O'Keeffe, our Year 6 students had a go at creating their very own artistic landscapes by blending together oil pastels, among a variety of other materials. This hallway display is an absolute treat to see when walking down our school corridors, and an excellent celebration of the work of our talented students!
Year 2 - Sketching Shells!
Year 2 was able to bring the Coasts of England into their class which they achieved by sketching seashells! And speaking of shells, did you know that the first worldwide currency was actually gleaming, white seashells? They were harvested for thousands of years before being used as money! Our Year 2 students had a great time designing different kinds of shells, such as scallop, conch and clam, guided by their imagination and a pencil.
A Sunny Playtime!
We had the pleasure of a sunny playtime today at school, and we had a great time interacting with our students as they explored the different outdoor activities. The football nets and basketball hoops are always popular, and being able to enjoy different activities allows our students to make the most of their playtime.
A big shout out also goes out to our Student Council members, who, without fail, always ensure to tidy all the equipment and restore it back to their places.
