Year 6 - RAF Museum

06-02-2019

Year 6 visited the RAF Museum as part of their work this term on the Second World War. They attended a coding workshop to experience what it is like to be an RAF pilot. The children had to navigate their way around a route using micro:bit technology in order to test their lightning reflexes and their coding skills. Finally, the children were taken around the museum in groups to see various aircrafts on display relating to the Second World War. They were able to see inside the cockpit of actual aircrafts, as well as understand the effects of the War on Britain in particular.
