Year 5 - Ragged Museum

09-01-2020

Year 5 children visited the Ragged Musuem on Thursday 9th January 2020. The children were asked to act as Ragged School children. The Victorian Teacher put them through their paces and expected nothing less than diligence, devotion and discipline.

In the reconstructed Victorian classroom the Year 5 pupils received instructions in the three R’s(reading, writing, and arithmetic) from the Victorian Teacher. With slates and slate-pencils, the children practiced their handwriting, drawing, and arithmetic. They also tried on come costumes and learnt about some classroom objects used in disciplining children.
