Year 4 visited ‘The British Library’ and took part in the workshop ‘Marvellous and Mischievous’ which featured over 50 books, manuscripts and original artwork. The children were able to see the original manuscript of Roald Dahl’s and original illustration of Quentin Blake’s for Matilda. The exhibitions also included characters such as Tracy Beaker, Pippi Long Stocking, Jane Eyre, Dirty Bertie, Billy from Billy and the Beast as well as Matilda. This workshop allowed children to discover and learn in depth about their favourite characters, as well as giving them the opportunity to meet new ones.
