Barnet Hill Academy is the only Islamic Faith School in the London Borough of Barnet and one of only a small number of Islamic Voluntary Aided schools in England.
At Barnet Hill Academy, we are dedicated to providing an education that is rooted in the rich traditions of Islamic values while promoting academic excellence. Our curriculum is carefully crafted to balance secular knowledge with Islamic education, ensuring our students are well-prepared to become thoughtful, well-rounded members of society. This is made possible thanks to the generous support of our parents through Voluntary Contributions.
Why are Voluntary Contributions needed?
The Government does not cover the full cost of your child’s education at Barnet Hill Academy. Without parental support for our Islamic Studies programme which aims to help pupils develop accurate recitation, strong memorisation skills and a meaningful connection with, and understanding of, the Qur’an and our Deen, we risk having to cut back on the very things that make our school exceptional.
To continue offering high-quality lessons in these areas, supported by experienced teachers and essential learning resources, we request voluntary contributions from our school community. These contributions will help cover the following costs of our Islamic Studies programme:
- Staffing, teaching resources and materials
- Additional learning support and intervention groups
- Professional development for teachers
- Maintenance and improvement of our resources and facilities
Voluntary contributions also provide additional financial support for the school to supplement the money that comes from Government.
How to Make Your Contribution
Following careful consideration of the resources required, a voluntary annual contribution of £700 per pupil is requested. If you have more than one child at the school, please calculate the correct amount to be contributed for your family.

PAYMENT DETAILS
Contributions are voluntary, and all children are treated equally irrespective of whether or how much their parents contribute.
However, we anticipate and rely upon most parents being able and willing to contribute in full. We believe there is a strong moral obligation on all to donate – if not the full amount then as much as possible. We know there are differences in what families can afford, and we are always willing to discuss different amounts in total confidence. Even a partial contribution is enormously helpful in keeping down the headline contribution amount that all are asked for; it also embodies the sense of corporate responsibility for the education and future of the next generation, and models the habit of giving which is such a hallmark of Islam. If you do have any difficulty, then please contact the School Office who will handle the matter sensitively and confidentially.
We deeply value your ongoing support and partnership. May Allah reward you abundantly for your generosity and for investing in the Islamic education of our children. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via the School Office.
JazakAllah Khair for your continued support.
