Our Year 1 pupils became budding chefs as they used the instructions they had written to make their very own sandwiches! Having worked hard to write clear, step-by-step instructions, the children put their writing to the test by following each stage themselves. This practical activity was a fantastic opportunity to see how instructional writing can be used in everyday life, while developing independence and building confidence. What a delicious way to bring their learning to life!
