Sufra Food Bank Collection: 15th-29th January 2020

17-01-2020

BHA School Council pupils are promoting the collection of food to support Sufra NW London our local community food bank and kitchen.

The yellow food bins will be located just inside the school gates

The food bank provides emergency food aid to disadvantaged individuals and families in crisis. Last year, the charity collected and distributed 100s of tonnes of food, supporting over 9,000 people. The charity is entirely reliant on donations of food from the general public.

If you would like to donate some food, please could you send any non-perishable food items, which are sealed and in their original packaging, with your child to school from 15th-29th January 2020.

As guidance, the foodbank have highlighted the following foods that are in particular short supply at the moment. These include:

Cereal
Cooking Oil (1L only)
Tinned Fruit
Long-Life Milk
Pasta Sauce
Tinned Vegetables
Sugar
Salt/Pepper
Tinned Soup
Jam Stock Cubes
Tinned Fish

The foodbank does NOT require pasta and baked beans, as they are in good stock.
