Entrance Examinations

Following successful receipt of your application, with all necessary details i.e. previous school report, medical report etc. your child will be invited to visit the school to sit our entrance examinations.
Entrance Examinations are as follows:
  • a half day in which your child will take tests in English, Mathematics and Religious Education (Islamic Studies)
  • Maths and English papers are 50 minutes in duration, Islamic Studies papers are 30 minutes duration and apply for students appying for Year 3 and upwards only.
  • parents will be advised of a drop-off and collection time, no waiting is allowed during the examinations due to our Safeguarding regulations
  • examinations are exclusive to our school and aim at testing the attainment and the potential of prospective students
  • the content of all examination papers is confidential and will not be given to parents, prior to, during or after the examinations
  • parents will be informed of the results within 5 days of the assessment being undertaken, parents are advised not to call the office prior to the 5 day timescale
  • dependent upon the outcome, a resit may be possible for students who fail to meet the minimum standards in examinations, resits are at the school's discretion
  • there are no fees payable for initial examinations, resit exams carry a non-refundable levy (£100) for administration and marking
